How to apply for grants
The Swedish Mission Council (SMC) acts as an intermediary for grants from SIDA for interventions in Sweden and cooperating countries.

We have compiled a Handbook for all of SMC´s members and their partner organisations in Sweden and in cooperating countries to describe to you how to apply for grants.

SMC´s Secretariat has two important roles in administering grants. Partly to assess interventions, but also to provide support in their planning, implementation and evaluation.

Dialogue between SMC´s Secretariat, members and partner organisations in Sweden and the cooperating country plays an important role in the work to ensure that the development work done contributes to a positive change. SMC´s Secretariat wants to be part of the dialogue at as early a stage as possible. That way we can make an assessment of the intervention. We encourage members to use the SMC Secretariat as a resource. We are happy to organise seminars and courses on various parts of the Handbook, and we are also open to discussion with both individuals and smaller groups.
